Business Development Director - SaaS

Advanced Agrilytics is seeking qualified candidates to fill the role of  Business Development Director – SaaS at our growing company. The company seeks a candidate that will provide strategic leadership as we evolve our B-to-B strategy as a primary business model.  This includes the go-to-market strategies, supporting technologies, and resource and support structures.  The candidate will work with the leader of Strategy and our B-to-B businesses, as well as our Ag Ingenuity Partners lead as we develop SaaS for B-to-B clients.

Key responsibilities of Business Development Director - SaaS:

  • Work in partnership with the Executive Team to refine and implement SaaS with B-to-B Partners, establishing and growing that segment of Advanced Agrilytics
  • Further develop client requirements and go-to-market SaaS strategies with B-to-B partners including the ongoing support structure
  • Provide overall leadership and accountability for prospecting, closing and successfully managing client relationships

Requirements: Knowledge, Experience, and Skills

  • Experience designing digital tools in collaboration with B-to-B partners
  • Leadership experience helping clients with change management in support of utilizing new SaaS/Digital tools
  • Experience and proven agility in establishing and growing new business opportunities
  • Can effectively analyze market situations, opportunities, unmet needs and lead direction on path forward
  • Can effectively interpret industry trends / define / scope business opportunity for more complex multi-faceted project areas to exploit business opportunities
  • Excellent proficiency in influencing, motivating and leading others across multiple teams
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills; a persuasive and passionate communicator with excellent interpersonal and multidisciplinary project skills
  • Ability to manage complexity; deal with multiple, competing demands; and adapt to rapidly changing deadlines and challenges
  • Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in agronomy, engineering, or another scientific field with experience launching SaaS in the Digital Agriculture market
  • Travel will be required as needed
