Work Perks

Jimmy Serpico, Tool & Die Maker
- The skills that someone needs to be successful as a tool & die maker at ATS is to work hard and be willing to learn from and listen to the people we work with. I love that I learn something new every day about my trade. One of the things that makes me enjoy my job is the people I work with. Everyone gets along and people are always willing to help. The work I’m most proud of has been troubleshooting and maintaining a 10-speed transmission die for new 10-speeds for a few automotive companies. In my everyday life I like to do things outdoors and spend time with my family.

Victoria Skaggs, Demand Generation Representative
- I like that I have the freedom to take on new responsibilities and that I get the opportunity to learn new skills. One of the most important things I’ve learned working here is that time management is key. Somedays, it seems like I have too many tasks to accomplish but if I plan correctly I’m always able to get my work done with time to spare. One of the projects I’m most proud of was when I found a gap our team had in data analytics for our online efforts. I found ways to fill those gaps and established processes where there were none before. Outside of work I love to play volleyball, read, and walk my dog.

Jose Garcia, Tool & Die Maker
- My job is to maintain and upgrade fabricated tools that our customer uses on their production line. Things move quickly around here because if a part of the production line goes down, we try to repair the part as quickly as we can so that we can keep downtime to a minimum. One of my favorite parts of my job is being able to work with the customer’s engineers. They allow me to share my ideas and concerns with them. In my personal life, I love to travel, dance, and visit with friends. One of the things I’m most proud of is how far I’ve come since first moving to the U.S.

Darryl Lee, Maintenance Technician II
- My favorite thing about working at ATS is that we all work as a team and it feels like a family. I also like that the good things I do get noticed. When I finish a job for the customer and they thank me I know that they really appreciate what I did. Sometimes they’ll even email my site manager to compliment my work. Every day is different in my position. I’m an all-around guy and can wear many different hats. Some days I’m repairing a conveyer, troubleshooting an electrical problem, or working on pumps. In my life outside ATS I like to work on cars, go to car shows, and go hunting.
Commitment to Community
We give back to make our local communities stronger. In 2017, ATS donated $182,000 to local United Way through our donation program which allows employees to choose a dollar amount to donate from each paycheck.
ATS also hosts charity events for local causes and supports many individual fundraising efforts every year. As a mid-market company, we know our efforts—big or small—can make a major impact on our local communities.
