Summary:
Performs professional level human resources work and may carry out responsibilities in some or all of the following functional areas, employee relations, compensation and benefits, training, employment, safety, affirmative action and employment equity programs, and personnel research.
Responsibilities:
- Performs routine tasks required to administer and execute human resource programs and strategy including but not limited to compensation and benefits, leave process; disciplinary matters; disputes and investigations; performance and talent management; recognition and morale; and training and development.
- Manages the succession planning process within assigned business group; and assists in other areas as needed.
- Partners and assists with operation leaders on leader development.
- Ensures compliance with all legal and corporate guidelines; and advises employees and management on interpretation of personnel policies and procedures.
- Ensures leaders are informed and understand enterprise and business unit HR initiatives.
- Coaches site leaders on HR strategy and decisions related to personnel.
- Manages any start up or site closures within your assigned business group; and assists in other areas as required.
- Participates in HR projects at site level and up to corporate level projects.
- Tracks turnover and provides analysis to management.
- Conducts research of HR data and makes recommendations to management.
- Assists and/or completes personnel transactions and maintains associated records.
- Provides management team training in compensation and benefits; performance management, problem resolution; and policy and procedures.
- Collects and analyzes internal and external information to compare the organization’s HR practices to those prevailing in the market.
- Understands compensation practices to guide management on compensation decisions while maintaining equity.
- Builds and maintains relationships with different business groups to support and drive the growth of the company; this includes cross functional relationships as well.
- Supports multiple operational groups (example FMS, IPS, EFS, Corporate).
- Some national travel required.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university in Business, Human Resources, or related field with minimum 5 years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Bilingual

Desirable Qualifications:
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software

Physical Demands and Working Conditions:
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands/fingers to handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, crouch; and talk or hear. The employee is also required to use a telephone with headset for verbal troubleshooting, frequent use of a standard keyboard and computer to document calls in a ticketing system, and occasional use of other office equipment. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move more than 30 pounds. The employee is occasionally required to sit for long periods and use close and color vision. Work is typically performed in a moderately noisy business office.
