Location 
This position is full time in Chattanooga, TN, in the heart of the industrial area that keeps Adorama, an employer of choice, for all staff levels at this facility. The Chattanooga facility is the company’s largest at 230,000 square feet! 
Job Summary 
The Production Supervisor will assign work for all production associates in both Adorama and Scuba profiles. The Supervisor will also help assign Transfer batch jobs to be completed for our NY store, California Store, and our Utah warehouse.  Wholesale and Return to Vendor (RTV) orders will also be processed on a daily or as needed basis. Every day we want to process and handle each shipment like it is our own personal item, taking the time to inspect and follow processes, but understanding there is an acceptable deadline to process to keep our customers happy. 

Who is on the team? 
This position will be on a team of 35+ associates. The position reports to the Shipping Manager.

What will you do? 
  • Ensure on-time shipping and delivery of products to customers in excellent condition, focusing on maintaining customer satisfaction
  • Maintain harmony among workers and resolve labor issues to create a positive work environment.
  • Supports project teams in-process quality activities by educating, coaching, and mentoring others on process improvement philosophy, tools, and application.
  • Determine daily plan, balance workload, and prepare schedules to expedite workflow.
  • Promote accountability and ownership within the team, ensuring that goals and objectives are met
  • Solve problems that arise daily and show flexibility and ingenuity to meet deadlines.
  • Make decisions quickly in a fast-paced environment while keeping a focus on what is in the best interest of customers.
  • conducting Root Cause Analysis to identify corrective actions on JIRA responses.
  • Ensure correct shipment of national, international, and hazardous material orders by following legal regulations and company policies.
  • Assign duties and examine work for exactness, neatness, and conformance to policies and procedures.
  • Study and standardize processes and procedures to improve the efficiency and accuracy of workers.
  • Coordinate with other departments, such as put away, picking, inventory management, and quality assurance, to ensure the achievement of daily goals.
  • Ensure safety of all personnel, equipment, and property. Provide safety instruction to personnel as needed. Assure compliance with OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration) regulations.
  • Work closely with our shipping department to identify and correct errors.
  • Tracks and addresses individual and team RPH, misses, near misses, and quality errors.
SLA’s 
  • Ensures picking department hourly production by volume planner daily
  • Document accountability metrics on all associates as applicable.
  • Manage special order ‘exceptions’ given by CSR (Customer Service Representative) are complete on a daily basis.
  • Ensure putaway department is up to date per SLA on regular bins and backorder process by 2:30 pm daily.
  • Handles rush JIRA tickets daily.
  • Ensures transfer process(NY/UT/CA) is being completed weekly by documented SLA
  • Ensures RTV process is being completed weekly by documented SLA.
  • Documented training and development of new hires
  • Assist in the investigation of adjustments made on a daily basis
  • Assist in the investigation of locating product on shelves that pickers cannot find.
  • Document and coach associates on tardiness and/or absences.  
  • Document, Train, and Develop of new hires.
  • Assist in quarterly safety Meetings/ conversations with employees, and Quality reviews.
  • Oversees daily log of QDP
 
What you bring! 
  • Must have e-commerce experience.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills and are jointly focused on accuracy and productivity
  • Ability to use different software such as AS400.
  • Experience with managing processes, coaching, and mentoring of employees.
  • Ecommerce industry background
  • Knowledge using Microsoft office products
  • Proficient in Excel
  • Critical thinking skills
  • Desire to grow within the company

 Position Type/Expected Hours of Work 
  • It is a full-time position, and the hours of work and days are typically Monday through Friday. (8:30 AM – Close)
  • Saturday off
  • Ability to work a flexible work schedule and stay later as needed to ensure customer demand is met
