Sr. Operations Manager - E-commerce Warehouse
Description
The Senior Operations Manager will oversee outbound and inbound operations and directly manage the managers and supervisors while ensuring seamless coordination across warehouse functions. This role will focus on process optimization, strategic planning, and execution while fostering a culture of accountability, efficiency, and continuous improvement. What you will do:
- Take full ownership of warehouse operations, ensuring efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and service quality—operate with the mindset of a business owner, always looking for opportunities to improve and innovate.
- Develop and implement accountability processes, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and best practices to optimize warehouse operations.
- Oversee outbound and inbound operations while managing and mentoring the managers and supervisors to ensure operational excellence.
- Identify inefficiencies, leverage customer service data, and use KPIs to drive process improvements, reduce errors, and enhance productivity.
- Address operational challenges with a SWOT mindset (strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, threats), implementing proactive solutions.
- Utilize and recommend enhancements for Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) to improve efficiency and adaptability. Experience with system changes and automation is a plus.
- Work closely with customer service, procurement, and logistics teams to align operations with business objectives.
- Develop labor plans, manage staffing needs, and ensure team accountability.
- Implement and maintain 5S methodologies to create a clean, organized, and efficient work environment.

What you bring:
- 5+ years of warehouse or fulfillment center operations management experience, e-commerce, 3PL, or B2C logistics required.
- Must demonstrate a history of progressive responsibility and upward movement in previous roles, showing growth and advancement in career trajectory
- Proven experience implementing process improvements, accountability structures, and labor planning strategies.
- Strong data analysis and KPI utilization skills—must know how to apply metrics for decision-making rather than just tracking numbers.
- Experience with WMS platforms and recommending or implementing system enhancements.
- Knowledge of automation in warehouse operations is a plus.
