As a key member of the IT infrastructure and technical support team, you will manage and maintain the firm's IT assets to ensure reliability, efficiency and security. You will also assist the technical support team by acting as a level 2 and 3 contact for any operational support relating to systems infrastructure. The job holder must also be available to travel occasionally to our Guelph, Toronto and Regina offices. Reporting to the Team Leader - Infrastructure, your main responsibilities will be:
What you will do
  • Contribute to the architecture of the multi-site network and its evolution by managing, maintaining and monitoring its performance and availability;
  • Support and maintain an integrated, on-premises cloud infrastructure with Microsoft Azure and Office 365;
  • Maintain disaster recovery strategies in line with the company's recovery objectives;
  • Ensure the implementation and monitoring of IT team policies, standards and processes;
  • Deploy and maintain IT infrastructure security standards according to industry best practices and/or corporate security standards;
  • Ensure the configuration, analysis and resolution of network and server alerts.
  • Manage maintenance windows and deploy updates across the IT estate;
  • Contribute to and/or manage IT infrastructure projects while ensuring compliance with IT best practices and corporate standards;
  • Provide level 2 or 3 technical support to users and the technical support team.
What you will need to succeed
Experience and Knowledge
  • Have a relevant diploma (DEC) or attestation (AEC) with a minimum of 5 years' experience as a System Administrator;
  • Deep knowledge in solution development (Powershell and Python) and deployment management in Azure DevOps;
  • Relevant and recent Microsoft certification(s) is an asset;
  • Have in-depth knowledge and experience of :
o Windows Server, Hyper-V, DFSR, Active Directory, Cluster
o Office 365 (Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams)
o Microsoft Azure and Intune
o Network design and Cisco/Meraki equipment
o Suite System Center (SCCM, SCVMM)
o Backup (Veeam is an asset) and SAN systems
o Windows client and MS Office Suite.
Skills and Abilities
  • Be a recognized IT generalist who cares about delivering the best quality work possible;
  • Be bilingual (written and spoken) in French and English;
  • Demonstrate a high degree of autonomy, excellent analytical skills, initiative, innovation and team spirit;
  • Have an outstanding ability to maintain high performance under pressure, with effective organization, sharp priority management and strict adherence to deadlines.
