The Operations Sector: Rigor at the Service of Clients

ould you like to contribute your expertise within an investment management company with strong business processes ? Addenda Capital invites you to join its operation sector and contribute to its growth.

As a member of the Investment Operations Team, and under the supervision of the Manager, Portfolio Accounting, your main responsibility will be to ensure smooth business operations and the integrity and accuracy of the books and records of the portfolio accounting system by performing various daily control, monitoring, and reporting functions.

Your responsibilities
  • Ensure that dividends, principal and interest payments, maturities, corporate actions and other transactions are processed correctly and timely in clients’ accounts;
  • Assess the daily liquidity of clients and communicate cash balances to money market managers in a timely manner;
  • Wnsure settlement of Pooled Fund transactions with all the relevant parties;
  • Monitor trades matching and settlement with custodians and brokers;
  • Execute cashflow instructions for pooled funds and enter transactions and distributions in the system promptly;
  • Reconcile positions between custodians and the Invetment Operations system;
  • Prepare and produce various reports for clients, auditors and the management team;
  • Participate in the continuous improvement of business processes.
 
What you bring
  • Bachelor’s degree in administration, finance, or a related field, or a college diploma (DEC) in administrative techniques with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in the securities or investment operations sector;
  • Intermediate knowledge of Excel and Word software;
  • Good written and verbal communication skills in both French and English, allowing for frequent interaction with colleagues in Canada;
  • Canadian Securities Course (CSC); 
  • Experience with Eagle STAR is a significant asset.
