Are you looking to join a team focused on understanding clients’ needs and objectives to maximize the long-term success of their investments? Do you want to broaden your perspectives and contribute to investment opportunities? You’ve come to the right place. 
As a member of the Fixed Income Team and reporting to the Vice-President, Fixed Income, and Head of Corporate and Impact Bonds, your main responsibility will be to provide in-depth fundamental credit analysis, with a focus on the Energy and Infrastructure sectors. In addition, you will assist in developing and implementing the investment management strategies for corporate bonds as well as the overall fixed-income strategy.
Your responsibilities
  • Lead fundamental analysis and research on issuers within the Energy and Infrastructure sectors, and formulate investment recommendations;
  • Produce research reports and develop analytical tools to enhance the effectiveness of the decision-making process;
  • Collaborate within a team environment to develop the ongoing fixed income strategy for Addenda Capital’s corporate bond investments;
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with senior management of issuers in the Energy and Infrastructure sectors, as well as with key industry stakeholders;
  • Actively participate in corporate bond strategy discussions and meetings;
  • Contribute to the ongoing development and integration of the firm’s ESG analysis framework;
  • Work in collaboration with the Sustainable Investing team;
  • Collaborate in the development of the Active Duration Fixed Income strategy;
  • Play an active role in the firm’s thematic research initiatives;
  • Represent Addenda Capital within the investment community, including with sell-side analysts, issuers, rating agencies, and consultants;
  • Support client reporting requirements and deliverables.
What you bring
  • University degree in Finance, Accounting or Engineering along with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered;
  • CFA or accounting designation;
  • Extensive knowledge of the Energy sector and its regulations, as well as project financing.

Preference will be given to candidates located in Montreal or willing to relocate in Montreal, where most of the team and key stakeholders are based.
