Reporting to Vice President Core Fixed Income, this role will be working the Core Fixed Income team to construct and maintain proprietary research and valuation tools and enhance existing processes which directly contribute to the accuracy and efficiency of the portfolio management process. The role will support the needs and requests of a team of 8 portfolio managers responsible for approximately $18.0 billion in fixed income and preferred share assets.
Your responsibilities
- You will work closely on the development of a proprietary portfolio construction tool for fixed income solutions;
- Build, refine and improve analytical platform tools supporting portfolio manager decision making involving yield curve and credit curve targeting;
- Front end user interface tools integrating existing data and analytics into user accessible formats;
- Back end automation for processing and analytics;
- Data integrity analysis and investigation;
- Addressing ad-hoc requests and troubleshooting issues with pre-existing processes.
What you bring
- You are a second or third year undergraduate student working towards a University Degree in computational finance or equivalent;
- Strong quantitative capabilities and have solid programming experience with an understanding of database management;
- Proficient in Python, Visual Basic and experienced in SQL.
