Timing and Employment Length:

This is a contract employee role. The employment length would be approximately 6 months with the likelihood to extend the contract into a full-time position. Contract employees will be eligible to participate in limited benefits and paid time off.  We are also open to this role being a fully remote position. This position is one of at-will employment.

Job summary:

The Ad Council’s Analytics team is looking for a Digital Media Analyst who will be responsible for measurement, reporting and analysis of all digital media channels and platforms supporting the organization’s 30+ social good campaigns. You will execute measurement strategies for each defined digital media KPI which will demonstrate how effectively the media is reaching a campaign’s target audience. You will generate ongoing insights and recommendations for optimizing media performance. To ensure we have comprehensive and accurate results across all digital marketing efforts, you will collaborate regularly with key functional teams.

What you’ll do:

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for digital media support inquiries and requests post campaign launch, including tracking impressions delivery, reporting, assisting with optimization and reconciling delivery discrepancies
  • Responsible for data collection, performance reporting and analysis of all campaign digital media tactics, e.g. search, display, online video, mobile, gaming and social
  • Work closely with functional groups to define KPIs and ensure results are measurable and actionable
  • Maintain digital data feeds into our large-scale data warehouse (DoubleClick, Google Ads, Facebook, Google Analytics, Trade Desk)
  • Incorporate supplemental reporting provided directly by individual media companies
  • Use reports and data visualizations to validate data for errors and inconsistencies
  • Develop benchmark performance and best practices across all digital products and channels
  • Keep a pulse on the latest measurement methodologies to evaluate efficacy of campaigns across digital marketing channels


What you bring:

  • 2+ years of experience in digital advertising/analytics, with an understanding of online advertising planning, buying and performance metrics
  • Strong proficiency with Google Analytics & DoubleClick
  • Advanced skills required in BI tools (Tableau preferred), Excel (including pivot tables) and the visual presentation of data and results
  • Familiar with AdOps and tagging/trafficking
  • Experience ingesting, processing and validating results within a data warehouse as well as executing processes which ensure data quality and stability
  • Must be technically-savvy, detail-oriented and have superior organizational skills
  • You have strong communication and presentation skills, and work well independently
  • You can prioritize projects based on incoming requests and set attainable, yet practical timing of deliverables
