Description

ActioNet has an immediate opportunity for a Sr, Network Engineer requiring a Public Trust.  This role is primary location is REMOTE however they ask that you come to Washington, DC about 10%.  We prefer to find a local candidate - DC Area or someone that can is willing to travel, as required.  
In this role, you will be responsible for designing, Implementing, and supporting an enterprise WAN, MAN. and LAN network architecture using Cisco and Palo Alto solutions. Your duties will include setting up network connectivity with Akamai, 3rd parties via VPNs and CSP with direct connect. Support includes TIC compliance and other services to meet federal government requirements. As the Senior Network Engineer you will be the primary technical POC for operational tier 3 support and support governance documentation creation for designed solutions.  
As the Sr. Network Engineer, you will work with team of network and security engineers and application developers supporting the testing and continuous monitoring of network services using the network application solutions implemented. As the Sr. Network Engineer knowledge of TCP/IP, Network Protocols, Network Encryption, PKI, Cisco, Palo Alto, F5, AWS, Azure, and Zero Trust Archiecture is required.

Duties and Responsibilities:  
  • Technical Design and architectural design documentation for Network Environment solutions.  
  • Create technical architectural documents and presenting those planning documents at technical review boards for developing a SDLC for the client.
  • Performing technical review of design analysis of enterprise network infrastructure solutions integrated with Network DMZ solutions.
  • Provide Tier 3 operational troubleshooting and Support and tracking the remediation of vulnerabilities identify with implemented network solutions.
  • Basic Qualifications:
  • Associate’s degree or 10 years of equivalent professional experience in the field of network engineering, network telecommunications, or related technical or functional discipline.
  • The position requires strong technical experience with Network Cloud and on-premise Networking. Experience and understanding of using TCP/IP networking concepts, DNS, packet analysis tools (Wireshark or tcpdump). Certifications: CCNP R/S.  
 
Preferred Qualifications: 20 years leading federal and/or DOD agencies performing enterprise network architecture design and implementation projects. Preference will be given to candidates that are local.
