DecisiveInstincts, LLC, is a joint venture (ActioNet and Akamai Intelligence) is seeking a Senior Logistics Specialist to support defense programs in Charleston, SC. The role provides leadership and subject matter expertise in life cycle logistics, inventory management, and sustainment planning. The Senior Logistics Specialist will collaborate with engineering and program teams to ensure systems and components are efficiently supported throughout their lifecycle, while maintaining compliance with DoD standards and best practices.

Roles and Responsibilities:
  • Develop and execute life cycle logistics plans to support system sustainment and readiness.
  • Perform reliability, maintainability, and availability (RMA) analyses to optimize system performance and reduce downtime.
  • Manage provisioning, inventory control, and forecasting for parts, materials, and support equipment.
  • Support configuration management and maintain logistics data integrity across systems.
  • Coordinate with engineering and program teams on design-for-maintainability initiatives and process improvements.
  • Prepare and maintain logistics documentation, reports, and Key Performance Indicators (KPI) to support program requirements.
  • Support readiness assessments, acquisition reviews, and sustainment planning as a logistics subject matter expert (SME).
  • Mentor junior logistics staff and provide guidance on best practices, procedures, and compliance requirements.
  • Recommend process enhancements to improve efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and overall system readiness.
Education & Experience Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field required; Master’s degree preferred.
  • 5–10 years of experience in logistics, supply chain management, or related roles supporting defense or government programs.
  • Active Secret Clearance required.
Preferred Skills and Certifications:
  • Knowledge of DoD logistics policies, acquisition, and sustainment processes.
  • Experience with inventory management, provisioning, and life cycle support tools.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to lead teams, mentor junior staff, and coordinate across multiple stakeholders.
  • Certifications such as Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP), Certified in Logistics, Transportation, and Distribution (CLTD), or Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA) Level II/III preferred.
