ActioNet is looking for a
Payroll Specialist for corporate office, located in Vienna. Some Remote work authorized.


Payroll Specialist Accountant performs payroll processing by ensuring employees record time worked in Deltek Time, Deltek Time is processed accurately and timely, act as a Deltek Time Systems Administrator to ensure personnel changes have been updated properly, manages the compiles payroll personnel action notices from Human Resources. Applicants must have Deltek Costpoint, Deltek Time & Expense and ADP experience to be considered. The principal responsibilities will include:

  • Review the New Hires and Terminations spreadsheets before processing labor
  • Process corrections from Deltek Time & Expense on a weekly basis
  • Give access to timesheets for new hires
  • Monitors the submission of timesheets for all employees and the accuracy of charging to certain time codes.
  • Process the Labor at the end of each Timesheet period for whole company
  • Ensures compliance with all internal policies. Individual will be an advocate for business process   improvement - developing, implementing and documenting necessary policies and procedures
  • Process Retros in the Costpoint System
  • Interaction with senior management

  • Maintenance of payroll records, payroll transmission, distribution of paychecks.
  • Inputs new hires, terminations, transfers, and salary adjustments in COSTPOINT.
  • Records new or adjusted pay rates in COSTPOINT
  • Reviews payroll to ensure accuracy
  • Job cost payroll processing and computations.
  • Computes pay according to federal laws and corporate policy
  • Responsible for compiling and forwarding data to ensure taxing authorities’ filings and payroll reporting are filed accurately and timely.
  • Troubleshoot and resolves errors and other payroll related issues
  • Maintains payroll and related records including the accumulation of PTO and miscellaneous leave of absence.
  • Generates reports for the reconciliation of miscellaneous payroll accounts and prepares corresponding journal entries and support schedules.
  • Ensures all payroll information is input into the proper General Ledger accounts and allocated to departmental levels.
  • Manage Year-End Processing & 941 reconciliation
  • Ability to work with Auditors during yearly audits
  • Other duties as assigned



  • Generates reports for the reconciliation of company prepaid accounts and prepares corresponding journal entries and support schedules.
  • Research issues and troubleshoot issues

Act as System Administrator for Deltek Time & Expense

Skills Required
  • BS in Business Administration (in related field) or equivalent with 3 or more years of Payroll Accounting experience with a Government Contractor.
  • Strong experience with Deltek COSTPOINT, Deltek Time & Expense and ADP.
  • Ability to demonstrate and maintain confidentiality.
  • Ability to deal with deadline stress.
  • Attention to detail and must possess excellent organizational skills
  • Demonstrate the ability to work independently.
  • Ability to demonstrate effective communication with all levels of staff and third party payroll resources.
  • Highly motivated, problem-solving, multi-tasking individual who works well in a fast-paced dynamic environment is essential.
  • Proficient in all MS office products

  • Position reports directly to Payroll Manager
