ActioNet is seeking a Tier 2 - Junior IT Specialist  to provide dependable on-site and remote technical support for users in Washington, DC. The ideal candidate will have an associate degree, 1–2 years of IT or help desk experience, and a strong customer service mindset. This role supports the installation, configuration, and troubleshooting of hardware, software, and network-related issues while maintaining clear documentation and following established IT procedures.
 
Salary:  40-46K
 
Responsibilities:
  • Provide on-site and remote desk side support for end users in an enterprise environment.
  • Install, configure, and troubleshoot computer hardware, software, and peripheral devices.
  • Assist with system imaging, deployment, and configuration using tools such as SCCM and Intune.
  • Support user account setup, password resets, and access management in Active Directory and Microsoft 365.
  • Troubleshoot issues related to network connectivity, AVD (Azure Virtual Desktop) sessions, BitLocker encryption, and KVM switch connections.
  • Assist with Intune Mobile Device Management (MDM) enrollment and compliance.
  • Document work performed in the IT ticketing system and escalate complex issues when necessary.
  • Provide user support for Microsoft Office Suite and standard business applications.
  • Help maintain IT asset inventory and ensure accurate tracking of equipment.
  • Support printer installation and configuration.
  • Perform system updates and patching under supervision.
  • Communicate clearly with end users to resolve issues efficiently and professionally.
  • Follow IT security and operational procedures at all times.
  • Participate in team meetings and contribute to process improvements.
Qualifications:
  • Associate degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
  • 1–2 years of experience providing IT or help desk support in an enterprise environment.
  • Basic understanding of Windows OS, Active Directory, Microsoft 365, Intune, and networking fundamentals.
  • Preferred certifications: CompTIA A+, IT Fundamentals+, or equivalent.
