ActioNet is hiring a Cybersecurity Specialist in Falls Church, VA (HQ). This position requires a
Secret clearance.

Primary Responsibilities:
• Provide cybersecurity support to HQ systems in alignment with DoD directives.
• Support RMF ATO lifecycle activities including control implementation, continuous monitoring, and security documentation.
• Perform vulnerability assessments, classification, remediation, and reporting using tools such as ACAS, Nessus, HBSS, Trellix, and MECM/SCCM.
• Ensure compliance with Information Assurance Vulnerability Management (IAVM) alerts, zero-day vulnerabilities, and security patching requirements.
• Monitor, analyze, and respond to security incidents in coordination with ISSO, CSSP, and cybersecurity teams.
• Assist with evaluation and approval of hardware/software requests through Application Request Worksheets (ARW) and Security Risk Assessments.
• Maintain system security configuration baselines in accordance with DoD STIGs and IAVM requirements.
• Support IG inspections, security audits, and ad hoc cybersecurity reporting.
• Contribute to the development and refinement of cybersecurity SOPs, TTPs, and best practices.
• Provide subject matter expertise on emerging cyber threats, vulnerabilities, and mitigation strategies.

Required Job Experience:
• 3–5 years of experience in cybersecurity operations or system security support in enterprise or DoD environments.
• Hands-on experience with vulnerability scanning, remediation, and reporting tools such as ACAS and HBSS.
• Familiarity with RMF processes, ATO documentation, and DoD cybersecurity standards.
• Knowledge of DoD STIGs, IAVM, and cybersecurity compliance practices.
• Ability to analyze and respond to security incidents, escalations, and audit findings.

Degree (Required or certifications below can be substituted in lieu of):
• Bachelor’s Degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or related field.

Certification (Preferred one of the following in lieu of Required Degree):
• DoD 8570.01-M IAT Level II certification (e.g., Security+).
• DoD 8570.01-M IASAE or CSSP certification (e.g., CEH, CySA+, GCIH).
• CISSP or CISM preferred for senior-level responsibilities.
