ActioNet is seeking a Performance Tester (Work From Home) who knows NeoLoad and can combine solid software performance testing credentials with emerging technology trends in the industry. This work will use current performance testing tools suite which includes NeoLoad.  Working as a Performance Tester, you will be responsible for hands-on performance testing of content delivery applications. In this role, you will be performance and load testing Java-based and .Net based systems. You will monitor load, volume, stress, and scalability of each application. You will plan, design, develop, debug and load testing scripts.  Expertise in debugging performance related issues and bottlenecks using a combination of log analysis, code analysis and tools like Loadrunner are key success factors in this highly visible opportunity.

 Responsibilities

• Developing and executing formal performance test plans to ensure the delivery of quality software applications
• Test planning, writing test cases/scripts, test case automation, performance test execution and analysis of performance test results
• Performing functional and performance testing of web-based GUIs
• Experience with Enterprise Java Applications and new data transformation technologies
• Verifying and validating functionality by evaluating software against system requirements
• Identifying and documenting defects using reproducible test cases
• Ability to work independently to triage issues and prioritize tasks
• Writing and maintaining comprehensive test plans and reports
• Work independently on a given task with little to minimum assistance and within the framework of a team
• Communicate critical issues and status updates in a timely and proactive manner

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• Experience:
  • 5+ years scripting and performing test automation.
  • 2+ years working with NeoLoad, including installation, configuration, scripting scenarios, designing load tests, and running performance tests.
  • Experience in the Software Test Life Cycle (STLC).
  • 2 years in performance analysis at multiple layers, including database tuning and UI optimization.
  • 2 years performing root cause analysis of performance issues using diagnostic tools such as JProfiler or JProbe.
  • Experience monitoring key performance indicators (KPIs) such as transaction response times, CPU, and RAM utilization.
  • Experience with SQL clients and APM tools such as Zabbix, AppDynamics, NewRelic.
  • API/Webservices testing experience (SOAP, REST, FTP, JSON, or similar).
  • Strong working knowledge of HTTP protocols for web applications.
  • Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams including Architects, DBAs, and Developers.
  • Experience working on multiple projects simultaneously.
• Technical Skills:
  • Proficient in Windows and Linux environments.
  • Solid understanding of operating system concepts and how they relate to applications and containers.
  • Strong hardware and software debugging skills: caching, rate limiting, memory utilization, garbage collection, CPU cycles, and network throughput.
  • Developer background is a plus.
• Professional Skills:
  • Strong communication, reporting, and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to develop and maintain collaborative relationships across all organizational levels.
  • Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with a customer service orientation.
• Additional Requirements:
  • US Citizenship not required, but candidate must be able to pass a background check.
