Sr. Manager of Strategic Partnerships
The Role
We are looking for a highly driven Strategic Partnerships Sr. Manager to focus primarily on our Financial Services vertical. In this role, you will be the tip of the spear in identifying, recruiting, and building relationships with new technology partners that cater to Credit Unions, Regional Banks, Wealth Management firms, and Insurance agencies.
You will target Independent Software Vendors (ISVs) — such as specialized CRMs, CORE Banking software, and other industry-specific tech — whose products naturally complement and integrate with Act-On’s marketing automation platform. Your ultimate goal is to build a robust ecosystem of integrated tech partners that drives mutual value, co-marketing opportunities, and net-new revenue pipeline for both Act-On and our partners.
What You Will Do
Identify & Recruit: Research, map, and prospect potential technology partners within the Financial Services ecosystem (CRMs, CORE Banking, Loan Origination Systems, etc.) that would benefit from a strategic partnership with Act-On.
Build Relationships: Serve as the primary point of contact for new FinServ tech partners, building strong relationships with their leadership, product, and partner sales teams.
Develop Joint Value Propositions: Work closely with our Product and Marketing teams to define the "better together" story for each integration, ensuring it resonates deeply with Credit Unions, Regional Banks, and Wealth Managers.
Drive Go-To-Market (GTM) Strategy: Design and execute co-marketing and co-selling campaigns with your partners to generate qualified referral leads and source new pipeline for the Act-On sales team.
Enablement: Educate partner sales and customer success teams on Act-On’s capabilities and how to identify joint opportunities.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Act as the voice of the partner internally, working alongside our API/Product teams to facilitate seamless technical integrations.
Industry Presence: Identify and speak at relevant Financial Services trade shows to build brand visibility and industry relationships.
What You Bring (Qualifications)
Experience: 4+ years of experience in Channel Sales, Business Development, or Strategic Partnerships within the SaaS space.
Hunter Mentality: Proven track record of cold outreach, successfully recruiting new partners, and building a partner pipeline from scratch.
Tech-Savvy: Strong understanding of how software platforms connect via APIs and integrations, particularly in the martech or sales tech space.
Sales Acumen: Ability to confidently navigate complex, multi-stakeholder deals and align partner incentives with Act-On’s revenue goals.
Communication: Exceptional presentation and relationship-building skills.
Industry Expertise: Direct experience working in or selling into the Financial Services sector (Credit Unions, Regional Banks, Wealth Management/Financial Advisors, or Insurance).
Ecosystem Knowledge: Deep understanding of the specific tech stacks used by financial institutions (e.g., specialized FinServ CRMs, Fiserv, Jack Henry, Symitar, Guidewire, etc.).
MarTech Background: Prior experience in the Marketing Automation space.
