ACCO Brands is seeking a Marketing Insights Analyst.  The primary function of this position is to provide consumer and shopper research to the company to generate insights used for Marketing and customer strategies and decision making.


  • Conducts and presents research findings and insights to marketing teams to increase consumer, shopper and category knowledge.
  • Mines existing research to address business questions and to prepare marketing for customer meetings.
  • Conducts and presents research findings and insights to other functional business partners for internal or other culture surveys.
  • Works with external vendors to achieve research objectives.  Prepare reports of findings, illustrating data graphically and translating complex findings into written text.
  • Extract information from qualitative and quantitative data and turn it into compelling insights and stories that help our stakeholders become more successful.
  • Researches questions and topics that are presented to the department. Conducts information gathering process, analyze data, process for relevance, and draw conclusions and make recommendations based on findings.
  • Presents research findings to internal and external audiences.
  • Conduct analysis on secondary information that is relevant to our businesses and seasonality.
  • Manage content on Insights sharing site. Post project reports, custom industry analysis, and relevant secondary information so that it is accessible to internal partners.
  • Maintain close contact with Marketing and Sales functions to understand key business topics and conditions within our company and the industry.
  • Identify and investigate new research methods and data sources to continually improve the value of Consumer Insights to the organization.
  • Assist and support Consumer & Market Insights Director on projects as directed.


  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business or related discipline preferred.
  • 3-5 Years relevant work experience (Research experience preferred, would also consider Marketing or Sales roles with strong research utilization experience).
  • Strong verbal/written communication and presentation skills.
  • Strong quantitative and analytical skills.
  • Highly proficient computer skills (PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Internet).
  • Experience with online survey tools and/or SPSS statistical software required.
  • Solid organizational and creative problem-solving skills.
  • Exceptional project management skills.
  • Minimal travel is required.
