ACCO Brands is seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Manager to provide strong leadership and organizational skills to our accounts payable department to ensure the department runs efficiently. The main responsibilities include maintaining accurate records regarding payments to suppliers and training staff members.  The successful candidate is someone focused on optimizing department processes and building lasting relationship with key stakeholders within and outside of the business. You should be knowledgeable, analytical, and decisive with excellent leadership, organizational and communication skills.


  • Hiring, training, motivating, and evaluating accounts payable staff members.
  • Manage the Accounts Payable function for North America. This includes maintaining the AP Subledger, Disbursements, Vendor Master along with other functions as assigned
  • Partner with the Shared Services Transactional team in managing the invoice receipt process (eg, 3-way match, etc.).
  • Responsible for the North America Concur platform, including the T&E & P-Card program.
  • Partner with Treasury and vendors to identify and implement working capital opportunities to improve financial results.
  • Compiling, analyzing, and reporting financial information to management.
  • Setting and facilitating the achievement of department objectives.
  • Building and maintaining relationships with employees, clients, vendors, and lenders.


  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, management, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of Management Experience with increasing levels of responsibility.
  • Extensive knowledge of accounting and management principles and accounts payable procedures.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proven Project Management Leadership.
  • Expert Excel skills and comfortable using data warehouse reporting tools.
  • SAP and/or SAP Ariba experience a plus.
  • Strong planning and problem-solving skills.
  • Detail-orientated with an ability to be guided by the bigger picture.
  • Motivation to develop and maintain internal and external relationships.
  • Commitment to ethical behavior with a willingness to adhere to all company policies and current financial legislation.
