Location: Long Island, NY        

Pay Range: $25.82-$31.318        

Hours: Monday-Friday 9:00AM-5:00PM (35hrs) + Benefits        

        

Job Summary/Objective:         
Provides Fiscal Intermediary oversight and support to Self-Direction members and their Circle of Support.        
        
Essential Functions:         
  • Oversee a caseload of 60-80 participants
  • Review, upload and approve budget, budget amendments/CNBAs/Annual Rollovers within eVero portal. Ensuring that all budgets adhere to MNY specific Fringe Rate
  • Request and review all required Self-Direction documents (Life Plan, Notice Of Decision, Level of Care -LCED, DDP-2, Monthly Summary Notes, Staff Action plan-if applicable) to ensure compliance with OPWDD regulations.
  • Enrolling/disenrolling members in to OPWDD CHOICES upon approval of Self-Direction budget (Start-up, Initial, Transfer).
  • Participate in Bi-Annual Life Plan and additional team meetings with member's Circle of Support team (mandatory 2 LP meetings per year, and any other meetings as necessary)
  • Facilitates Launch meeting where all OPWDD and MNY forms, policy, and procedures, as well as member's approved Self-Direction budget are reviewed with member and Circle of Support Team.
  • Review and verify member expense reports and broker billing to ensure it meets all criteria to maintain compliance with OPWDD standards.
  • Records monthly activity logs for every member on caseload, highlighting concerns, issues, and updates.
  • Liaison between member/Circle of Support, staff, broker, Self -Direction Liaison as well as MNY finance, HR and payroll departments.
  • Maintains most current eligibility documentation (LCED, DDP-2 ,Life Plan) and Broker Documentation (Meeting Minutes, Staff Action Plans, Safeguards, Broker Agreements) for each member on caseload via eVero. Requests missing documentation periodically via e-mail, phone calls and during Life Plan meetings.
  • Review community classes checklist received by broker and update approval list as necessary
  • Identify and report any incident, complaint, or compliance issue to immediate supervisor and other entities as required (OPWDD 147 form, etc.)
  • Support appropriate budget utilization: Review expenditures for overage issues and address such issues with member/Circle of Support to ensure continuity of services in annual budgeted year.
    Working with the entire team to ensure Person-Centered, Compliant, Fiscally Responsible services.
  • As a representative of Meaningful NY, participating in the promotion, training, refinement and advocacy for Self-Direction in New York State.
    Maintains and keeps current with knowledge of Self-Direction through participation in MNY and OPWDD trainings.
    Retains documentation of all current OPWDD regulations (guidance, ADMs, etc.)

Required Education/Experience:         
  • Highschool diploma and 2 or more years of experience in a related field or position.

      

 Preferred Education/Experience:         
  • Bachelor’s Degree in a related field.
