Warehouse Specialist (Weekends Only)
Description
Location: West Point, NY
Hours: Sat & Sun 8am-1pm

Job Description:
In this role you will:
-Oversee and coordinate activities in a storeroom
-Receive and stock inventory
-Issue food and supplies
-Ensure food is properly handled, prepped, and stored
-Store food in designated containers and storage areas to prevent spoilage
-Record all food requisitions from the store room
-Prepare and verify shipping documents
-Check quality and condition of items
-Keep the storage premises clean and neat
-Perform physical verification of inventory
-Maintain, manage, and update inventory controls
-Handle pallet jack and other tools/ equipment in warehouse operation
-Handle loading and unloading operations
-Implement safety procedures and standards
-Report immediately to the Food Services Supervisor and Director any accident or behavioral problem occurring in the kitchen or the DFAC premises
-Reports to the Food Service Supervisor any faulty or inferior quality food which is received
-Comply with all federal, state, and local laws and regulations for the maintenance, repair and operation of equipment and machines (OSHA)
-Comply with all federal, state, and local laws and regulations for the storage, use and disposal of trash, rubbish, waste and hazardous material (OSHA)
-Undertake all other duties commensurate with the post as and when directed by the Food Services Supervisor/Director
-Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications:

-Bilingual English and Spanish speaking a plus
