Sr. Home Based Crisis Interventionist/Clinician

Location: Newburgh, NY
Rate of Pay: $80,000
Hours: M-F 11 am to 7 pm
Bilingual English/Spanish or English/Creole preferred
Professional License Required (LMSW, LMHC, LMFT, LCSW plus supervisory experience)
$2,500 Pay to Stay Bonus
OVERVIEW OF PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITES:
This position will supervise interventionists working collaboratively with youth in Rockland and Orange Counties with an intellectual or developmental disability who are at risk of a separation from their families due to a potential hospitalization or other out of home placement and will also see cases themselves.
PRIMARY FUNCTIONS:
- Supervise Home Behavior Crisis Interventionists
- Leads team huddles and staff meetings
- Determines appropriateness of referrals for the service
- Determines when cases are ready to close
- Sees approximately one case at a time
ADDITIONAL FUNCTIONAL / ORGANIZATIONAL SUPPORT:
- Helps family apply for OPWDD or OMH services.
- Attends CSE meetings and other appointments with the family as appropriate.
QUALIFICATIONS AND ATTRIBUTES:
- Strong organization skills with accurate attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to navigate electronic health record
- Able to adapt and work in a fast-paced environment
- Able to demonstrate flexibility in adjusting work plan for the day to best meet the needs of the families.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- LMSW, LCSW, LMHC, or LMFT
- Experience with youth with IDD and/or behavioral health diagnoses
- Experience with clinical supervision
- Bi-lingual English/Spanish or English/Creole a plus
PHYSICAL CHARACTERISTICS:
- Drivers license required
- Must be capable to move throughout work day and follow people served throughout community
- Must be able to move in tight spaces
