Hours: Mon-Fri 9am-5pm
Salary: $20.00 p/h  
    
PROS (Personal Recovery Oriented Services) is a Community Rehabilitation program to support individuals with a history of serious mental illness. Our goal is to assist individuals in acquiring and maintaining skills and supports to live successfully in their communities. These include: wellness self-management, benefits and financial management, leisure planning, and skill development to manage symptoms and practice life skills. This program offers intensive rehabilitation services to assist individuals in obtaining specific life roles, and to reduce the risk of relapse, hospitalization, loss of housing, or involvement with the criminal justice system. Extensive research has proven that consistent and meaningful employment has been a key factor in determining the social determinants of health.      
      
OVERVIEW OF PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITES:      
Currently we have a need for an Employee Specialist in our PROS Program. Ability to work as an effective team player and the ability to achieve employment outcomes is essential!      
      
PRIMARY FUNCTIONS:      
Conduct job development activities from office and in the community
Attend meetings, trainings and community events in support of department and agency mission
Search for jobs using employment apps and sites
Assist clients to develop short and long-term educational and career goals
Work with clients to maintain employment
Facilitate small groups on employment related topics
Assist clients with basic benefits questions and connect them to benefits counseling
Interact with family members, employers, case managers, therapists and treatment teams to support employment and education goals
Negotiate on-the-job accommodations if necessary
Report activity into multiple databases
Other duties as assigned
    

QUALIFICATIONS AND ATTRIBUTES:       
Experience working with people with a serious mental illness and experience providing employment services is preferred
Strong Communication Skills (Written and Oral)
Strong organization skills with accurate attention to detail
Comfortable working one-on-one with clients in office and out in community (occasionally transporting)
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Comfortable with responsive communication via text, phone and email
Able to learn from virtual trainings
Comfortable with receiving supervision virtually and reporting to off-site supervisor
Familiarity with virtual platforms (MS Teams, WebEx, Zoom)
Familiarity with data and billing systems
Able to adapt and work in a fast-paced environment
Able to be flexible with time and tasks
Valid Driver's License
        
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:       
A.S degree in mental health, social services or business
Prior employment experience(s) with preference on helping professions, business or retail can be beneficial to position
PHYSICAL CHARACTERISTICS:      
Must be capable to sit in front of computer 
Must be capable to move throughout workday and follow people served throughout community
Work alongside clients and co-workers within 3 feet
