Location: Newburgh, NY
Hours: Monday-Friday 8:30am-5:00pm w/ Flexibility. 
Pay Range: $21.63 per hour

Employment Type: Hourly

OVERVIEW OF PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Facilitates all trainings mandated by oversight agencies including but not limited to: SCIP-R, First Aid/CPR/AED, DSP Core Competencies, Defensive Driving, Fire Safety, Healthy Menus, Effective Documentation, etc.
  • Assists with onboarding employees as part of the Learning and Development team
  • Partners with the Learning and Development team to ensure that an adequate number of trainings are available to ensure compliance to regulations and requirements. This includes evening and weekend classes as needed.
  • Ensure quality training delivery
  • Track Training Compliance for the Network.

 

QUALIFICATIONS AND ATTRIBUTES:

  • Ability to engage with learners with high energy and a creative style
  • Knowledge of Learning Management Systems
  • Ability to organize, multitask and prioritize duties and responsibilities efficiently
  • Ability to work independently
  • Resourceful, flexible and able to work as part of an interdisciplinary team
  • Able to communicate effectively
  • Able to facilitate classes (both virtual and in-person) in both a competent and engaging manner

 

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Experience with IDD population
  • Experience with adult education
  • Must be certified to train (or able to obtain certification) in the following:
    • (OPWDD) SCIP-R
    • (NSC) First Aid, CPR & AED
    • (NTSI) Defensive Driving

 

PHYSICAL CHARACTERISTICS:

  • Must be capable of standing for long-periods of time
  • May be subjected to long-periods of sitting or standing
  • Able to work in open space floor plan
  • Work alongside co-workers within 6 feet
  • Occasional lifting of > 25 pounds
