Location: Mt. Vernon, NY
Hours: M-F 
Pay Rate: $80,000 to $82,000
OVERVIEW OF PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITES:
 
Responsibilities include assessing, evaluating and engaging with participants they are seeing in Urgent Care and in treatment. This includes providing crisis counseling, individual, family and group therapies within their scope of practice.  Responsibilities also include providing supervision for clinical and administrative staff in Urgent Care and Clinic.
 
PRIMARY FUNCTIONS:
 
  • Provides services such as needs assessment, crisis support, safety planning, intake screenings, care management, and supportive therapy, to a diverse population in a group counseling practice
  • Develops and modifies treatment using a shared decision-making process with participants
  • Utilizes Evidence Based Practices to provide individual, family and group clinical services to support children, adolescents, adults, and families from all walks of life. 
  • Participates in Evidence Based Practice and other training and regular clinical supervision. 
  • Supervises and supports hiring for Urgent Care teams and clinical staff as assigned.  Travels between Mount Vernon and New Rochelle Urgent Care sites as needed to support staff and provide services to participants.
  • Supports Clinic leadership with managing the Urgent Care and intake processes for OMH and OASAS-licensed clinic programs.
  • Provides support for all reporting requirements under OMH, OASAS, CARF, and SAMHSA guidelines.
  • Performs other duties as assigned
 
ADDITIONAL FUNCTIONAL / ORGANIZATIONAL SUPPORT:
  • Assignments may be determined at a future date 
 
QUALIFICATIONS AND ATTRIBUTES:
 
  • Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) or Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC)
  • LMSW (LCSW eligible within reasonable amount of time)
  • Flexibility to adapt to a daily changing environment and ability to conduct work in the community including travel between Urgent Care sites
  • Experience utlizing Evidence Based Practices
  • Experience with staff supervision preferred
  • Commitment to customer service excellence and a warm and engaging presence
  • Computer skills and experience working with electronic medical records
  • Bilingual English and Spanish speaking is a plus
 
 
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
 
  • Master’s Degree in Social Work or Mental Health Counseling
  • Experience working with diverse populations and crisis intervention 
  • Substance use disorder and co-occurring disorders treatment experience is a plus
