Behavioral Health RN (BHN)                                                                   

As a Behavioral Health RN you will:

  • Maintain the delivery of quality patient care with a specialty in the area of behavioral/mental health.
  • Combine the activities of direct and indirect care provided to pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric patients.
  • Partner with CHHA, CNA, LVN, and RN staff regarding patient care activities.
  • Perform patient assessments, develop patients care plans, evaluate patients care plans’ effectiveness, modify as appropriate, and document all patient care as appropriate.

EXPERIENCE/TRAINING/EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION:

  •  Current State RN license must meet one of the following qualifications:

    o Diploma or AA degree in nursing with at least 2 years recent nursing experience, recommended to be within the last 3 years, in a psychiatric or mental health home care program or an acute psychiatric or mental health hospital or outpatient program, or

    o Baccalaureate in nursing with at least one year recent nursing experience, recommended to be within the last 3 years, in a psychiatric or mental health home care program or an acute psychiatric or mental health hospital or outpatient program, or

    o Master’s degree in psychiatric or mental health nursing with at least one year recent nursing experience, recommended to be within the last 3 years, in a psychiatric or mental health home care program or an acute psychiatric or mental health hospital or outpatient program.

  • Must be a licensed driver with an automobile that is insured in accordance with state and/or organization requirements and is in good working order
