Abt Electronics has an immediate opening for the position of an Electronic Service Representative.  We are a family owned company that has been in business since 1936 and continues to experience strong growth year after year.  Abt Electronics specializes in electronics, appliance & furniture sales, delivery, installation and servicing all the products we sell. We are a perennial winner of the Chicago Tribune’s Top Workplace Award.  We are looking for a highly motivated, flexible & friendly Electronic Service Representative to join our team.  If this is you, we want to hear from you! 

In addition, must be comfortable contributing/working in an entrepreneurial, fast-paced and fun work environment.  Primary duties include: 

• Assist customers over the phone with their electronic service needs
• Basic troubleshooting & tech support for consumer electronics
• Process returns & exchanges
• Create service tickets to document customers’ needs & dispatch service techs to customers’ homes
• Assist customers with purchasing accessories, replacement parts & carry in repairs

 Job Requirements: 

• Basic operational knowledge of consumer electronics
• Strong computer skills
• Ability to take initiative & make decisions
• Approachable & outgoing personality
• Scheduling includes night & weekend hours
• Must be able to stand for long periods of time
• Ability to lift up to 75lbs
• Bi-lingual a plus
