Abt Electronics has an immediate opening for the position of a service writer. We are a family owned company who has been in business since 1936 and continues to experience strong growth year after year.  Abt Electronics specializes in electronics, appliance & furniture sales, delivery, installation and servicing all the products we sell. We are a perennial winner of the Chicago Tribune’s Top Workplace Award.  We are looking for a highly motivated, flexible & friendly service writer to join our team.  If this is you, we want to hear from you!

In addition, should be comfortable contributing/working in an entrepreneurial, fast-paced and fun work environment.  Primary duties include:

• Assist customers in person with vehicle check in and check out
• Provide excellent customer service in store, over the phone & online
• Daily data entry of work performed by our mobile install team
• Schedule or reschedule installation appointments in person and over the phone
• Maintain professional communication with customers & coworkers

Job Requirements:

• At least 1 year of customer service experience, preferably in retail
• Strong computer skills
• Ability to take initiative & make decisions
• Approachable & outgoing personality
• Bi-lingual a plus
