The Senior Accountant will be an integral part of the Corporate Accounting team that offers a wide variety of experiences and plenty opportunities for professional growth. This role will be responsible for general ledger preparation and financial reporting. Also, working under the direction of the Director of Accounting/CFO, Senior Accountant will support all distribution channels, including retail, and e-commerce with critical data analysis that will help department managers make profitable decisions

  • Prepare month-end close and intercompany reconciliations for Corporate and LLC entities.
  • Prepare monthly and quarterly financial reports for Corporate and LLC entities.
  • Prepare analysis of monthly financial statement and account reconciliations.
  • Ensure proper internal controls over the accounting and financial reporting processes.
  • Preparation and maintenance of account reconciliations, both balance sheet and P&L.
  • Identifies and drives improvement opportunities for Accounting and works closely with internal teams to ensure improvement opportunities are implemented.
  • Provide analytical support in year-end audits as well as preparing audit working paper files.
  • Leading special projects and creating ad-hoc reporting as needed by CFO/Director of Accounting.
  • Performs other duties as assigned or required. 

Job Requirements:

 This job will be Excel driven and they will also use QuickBooks

  • 5-7 years of accounting experience with 3 years of public accounting.
  • BA/BS Degree in Accounting required.
  • CPA and Master’s degree required
  • Experience with large ERP systems preferably GERS (General Electric Retail Systems).
  • Sedona Office preferred.
  • Demonstrates outstanding critical thinking skills
  • Collaborative team player with a hands-on approach; a roll-up-the-sleeves mentality.Develops professional rapport internally and externally; cultivates the team.
  • High level of financial systems knowledge. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel application.
  • Driven and self-motivated; a self-starter.
  • Experience in tax return preparation and investment portfolio management preferred.
  • Articulate, with strong verbal, written and presentation communication skills.
  • Extensive knowledge of FASB requirements, Generally Accepted Accounting Principles and accounting principles
  • Experienced in the design and implementation of accounting systems and applications.
  • Demonstrates experience in continuous improvement initiatives,root cause analysis and project management.
