Absolute Dental is seeking a dependable Oral Surgery Sterilization Technician to support our oral surgery team by cleaning, sterilizing, and maintaining surgical instruments and equipment in a fast-paced environment. This role involves travel between multiple locations, with bi-weekly trips to Carson, and close collaboration with surgeons and surgical assistants to ensure instrument readiness and adherence to infection control standards.
Absolute Dental is seeking a dependable Oral Surgery Sterilization Technician to support our oral surgery team by cleaning, sterilizing, and maintaining surgical instruments and equipment in a fast-paced environment. This role involves travel between multiple locations, with bi-weekly trips to Carson, and close collaboration with surgeons and surgical assistants to ensure instrument readiness and adherence to infection control standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Clean, sterilize, and decontaminate surgical instruments, maintaining accurate sterilization logs.
- Operate and perform routine maintenance on sterilization equipment, such as autoclaves and ultrasonic cleaners.
- Manage inventory and ensure proper storage of surgical supplies.
- Conduct routine equipment inspections and troubleshoot issues as needed.
- Strictly adhere to infection control and safety protocols in compliance with OSHA and CDC guidelines.
- Travel to the Carson location on a bi-weekly basis to ensure consistent sterilization standards across all sites.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; certification in sterilization is a plus.
- Previous experience in dental or surgical sterilization preferred (training is available).
- Familiarity with infection control procedures and sterilization equipment.
- Strong attention to detail, organizational, and communication skills.
