Director, Business Development and Strategic Partnerships

We are open to candidates based remotely in Vancouver - BC, Seattle - WA, Austin - TX  or west coast USA. 
 
The primary focus of the role is strategic partner acquisition and ARR growth through new routes to market and meeting quarterly sales goals.  The Director, Business Development and Strategic Partnerships will engage with existing partners to review overall partnership health, new product offerings, and consultation to help sustain and grow our footprint within our partners’ customer base and ecosystem. 

In this role, you will be responsible for driving significant revenue growth from net new partner acquisitions. The ideal candidate is a highly motivated and self-directed individual that can create and execute partnership strategies that result in accelerated partner licensing growth. This role reports to the Senior Vice President, Business Development & Global Alliances. 
 
Responsibilities: 
  • Develop and execute strategies to identify and pursue new business opportunities aligned with the company's growth objectives
  • Identify, evaluate, and prioritize potential strategic partners that can enhance our market position and product offerings
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers at target partners, including C-level executives and senior management
  • Negotiate and close strategic partnership deals that drive revenue growth and expand our customer base
  • Collaborate with internal teams, including product, marketing, and sales, to ensure successful implementation and execution of partnerships
  • Monitor and analyze market trends, competitor activities, and customer needs to identify new partnership opportunities
  • Develop and manage a pipeline of potential partners and business opportunities using CRM (Salesforce)
  • Create and deliver compelling presentations and proposals to potential partners and internal stakeholders
Qualifications:
  • 8+ years of experience in business development, partnerships, or sales in the cybersecurity industry
  • Proven track record of identifying, negotiating, and closing strategic partnerships with cybersecurity industry leaders
  • Strong understanding of cybersecurity market trends, customer needs, and competitive landscape
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with senior executives
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to develop and execute data-driven business development strategies
  • Willingness to travel as needed for meetings and events
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with a passion for driving growth and success in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field 

 

The OTE range for this position is from $215,000 - $225,000 annually; the OTE includes a variable commission component, and the pay offered is determined by the market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and internal equity.
