We are experiencing exciting growth at Absolute Software and are looking for an HR Business Partner to join our HR team. Reporting into the Senior Manager, Human Resources, you will work side-by-side in collaboration with business leaders and the global HR team to develop and drive strategic initiatives. 

In this role, we are looking for the HR Business Partner to support with Absolute’s Go-To-Market groups (Sales and Customer Experience).

You are a strategic-minded and innovative HR professional who has experience in a high-tech sales environment. You are a change agent and have the expertise to enable people and align them to achieve business objectives by identifying and driving appropriate solutions.  You enjoy rolling up your sleeves and getting tactical in leading and executing on initiatives. 

Accountabilities Will Include:

  • Responsible for the day-to-day HR support for Canada and USA, including but not limited to compensation, policy, benefits, learning & development, engagement, and other queries from employees and managers
  • Partner with business leaders to support the communication and transition plan on change initiatives impacting the business
  • Drive, initiate and manage strategic HR programs and initiatives cross-functionally throughout the organization
  • Provide relevant data and recommendations to guide decision-making related to compensation, org structure, attrition, promotions, succession planning, and other activities
  • Act as lead on internal employee relations issues
  • Oversee consistent and compliant execution of company benefits schemes
  • Partner with Benefits lead supporting the yearly Open Enrollment process for all USA employees
  • Monitor and ensure company compliance with changing employment laws in the UK, Canada, and the US and update management as necessary
  • Partner with hiring managers and recruiters to ensure recruitment needs of your groups operations are met; participate in the selection process, as required
  • Develop and drive people engagement strategies that foster an “employer of choice” environment where all employees are accountable and feel empowered
  • Perform other duties and projects as assigned by the Manager, Human Resources

What You’ll Need:

  • 4-5 years as HR Generalist or HRBP, preferably in a high-tech sales environment
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management and/or certification or equivalent experience
  • Exceptional consulting, coaching and facilitation skills
  • Strong team-oriented working style with solid human resources and business acumen
  • Exceptional customer service skills and demonstrated change agent
  • Comprehensive knowledge of federal, state, and local legislation affecting the workplace in both USA and Canada preferred with exposure to the UK
  • Benefit plan design and support exposure
  • High level of integrity – must show good judgment and confidentiality at all times
  • Technology and social media savvy
  • Ability to travel when required
  • Demonstrated interview and screening skills
  • Previous HRIS experience
  • Demonstrated full life cycle recruiting experience in both USA and Canada with exposure to the UK.
