Channel Account Manager - Lenovo

This role is supporting our SLED business segment with the Lenovo Alliance. Applicants should be based in Raleigh/Durham, North Carolina. 

Accountabilities Will Include:    

  • Coordinate Sales efforts between Absolute and Lenovo Sales and Services teams to achieve assigned sales goals and growth targets
    • Provide pre-sales assistance to Absolute and Lenovo account managers via phone, e-mail and/or in person, responding to sales requests and/or inquiries in a timely manner
    • Develop relationships and evangelize Absolute solutions with partner Sales and Services teams
  • Build Absolute brand awareness at Lenovo
    • Gain and maintain mind share of the LENOVO Sales and Services representatives so that Absolute is viewed as the preferred 3rd party partner and solution for their customer and prospects
    • Maintain weekly presence with both the inside and outside LENOVO Sales and Services teams
  • Plan and execute go-to-marketing strategies; including but not limited to:
    • Management Meetings
    • Sales Trainings
    • Floor Days
    • Team Huddles
    • Planning Meetings
    • Quarterly Business Reviews
  • Develop and implement monthly, quarterly and annual plans to ensure LENOVO’s growth
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams at Absolute and LENOVO to develop compelling go-to-market initiatives that align with Corporate objectives
    • Leverage the Absolute Channel Marketing team to develop and execute compelling awareness and demand generation programs to create new sales opportunities
    • Manage the quarterly MDF budget
    • Manage and coordinate the LENOVO marketing plans for each fiscal quarter and half
    • Develop segment specific programs, messaging and relationships with the LENOVO Sales and Services teams within various verticals
    • Establish relationships with key DMR partners (CDW, Insight, SHI) to develop key go-to-market plans 
  • Prepare and communicate weekly, monthly partner status reports, including weekly pipeline reports and sales engagement status
  • Prepare Quarterly Business Reviews (QBR’s) to present current state, financial and program history, future activities, and general information to Absolute leadership team
  • Provide operational support between Lenovo and Absolute
    • Maintain SKU and pricing detail between Absolute and Lenovo announcing and withdrawing SKUs as needed.
    • Setup custom quote SKUS at Lenovo as needed
    • Implement processes as needed to support new routes to market and new initiatives
  • Travel in North America (approximately 30-40%)

What You’ll Need:

  • Four year college degree from an accredited institution
  • At least 10+ years of experience in PC, IT and/or InfoSec business
  • At least 5+ years of direct and/or channel sales experience in a dynamic selling environment
  • Previous experience working at Lenovo in a Channel or Sales role (Inside or Field based) is a plus
  • Previous experience working with Tier 1 Direct Market Resellers like CDW, Insight, SHI, etc.
  • Proven history of being able to work independently and with cross-functional teams to achieve company and departmental objectives
  • Strong business acumen and multi-tasking capability
  • Ability to discuss technical software capabilities and features at a functional level; Programming knowledge not required
  • Ability to analyze metrics and articulate findings
  • Good balance of strategic and tactical skills
  • Critical thinking and problem solving skills
  • Ability to excel in a team environment which emphasizes total cooperation and mutual respect
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills in order to present to all audiences
  • Attention to detail with the ability to follow-through
  • Ability to work independently without direct supervision based on previously discussed goals & KPI’s
