Absolute Security is currently looking for a result driven, self-motivated Country Manager for our Japan region (‘Country Manager’). This is a critical management position to execute the company sales plan and help drive success across Japan. The Country Manager manages a team of 5, comprising of an Account Executive, Sales Engineer, Channel Account Manager, Marketing Manager, & Global Support.
 
This role will report into our AVP for Japan & Greater Asia. With a hybrid work model, the Country Manager serves two key functions: first as a leader for our Japan team, generating new annual recuring revenue (ARR) within all commercial accounts and second, as a management partner for the local OEM and VAR teams.
 
Accountabilities Will Include:
  • Drive New ARR business – The Country Manager works with their peers to implement and execute the company sales plan, and is responsible for leveraging sales assets to drive and grow net/new sales.
  • Management partner – The Country Manager will work to understand each region’s business strategies and supporting activities required from each of their direct reports. The Country Manager drives those activities in their territory and manages issues as they relate to lack of execution and sales productivity.
  • Drive customer satisfaction – The Country Manager gains a deep understanding of our large prospects’ requirements and need of our products, while managing a team of six sales account executes helping them to work with their available resources to deliver high levels of customer engagement ultimately resulting in a sale.
  • Interdepartmental Leadership - The Country Manager will play a leadership role, representing the Japan business across our Product, Marketing, Channel and Finance teams. Acting as an advocate and escalation path for any issues.
  • Share communications and across regions – The Country Manager will manage a weekly meeting in which the team can share experiences, get updates from other departments, discuss issues gleaned from peers and identify selling issues and concerns so the Country Manager can potentially spot trends across the business and escalate.  The Country Manager leads meetings and is committed to keeping those meetings relevant and on point.
  • Share communications across departments - the Country Manager will have a quarterly business review with the CRO. This will help bridge communication gaps between Sales and other company departments.  At a minimum, the Country Manager will present the QTD sales data, and with it, the Country Manager will present a snapshot of our sales by region, by product, etc.   The Country Manager may also use the Sales forecast to provide insight into short-term and long-term future business. Considering there may be other relevant topics that surface, the Country Manager can dynamically work them into the agenda as required. 
  • Champion for our systems - The Country Manager will take responsibility for driving usage of our CRM tool Salesforce.com across their teams and other KPIs as identified.
  • Protect the security and privacy of Absolute and its customers.
 
What You’ll Need:
  • A College/University Degree
  • 100% Bilingual in both English & Japanese
  • A proven track record of 5-10 years of successful sales management, managing a field sales team. In addition, 15-20 years of working in Cyber Security and IT. 
  • Enterprise sales experience with US based companies in the technology, security or SaaS industry, preferably in software or services.
  • The ability to negotiate long-term license agreements directly with customers or through our partners
  • Experience using Microsoft Office & Salesforce.com
  • Highly organized with a burning desire to win.

  • Force Management – Command of the Message would be a plus
