The Senior Director of Product Marketing is a leadership position responsible for defining and executing the go-to-market strategy. As an expert in the industry, you will use deep customer understanding to lead global product launches, field, and ecosystem enablement. You will work with the broader product, marketing, and field teams to drive focused strategies to execution and winning outcomes. Partner with product management to help define product strategy and establish a winning position that differentiates Absolute in the market.     
As an established commerce leader with vision, you will act as the face of the brand regularly presenting to customers, supporting industry events, and engaging industry analysts comfortably supporting both business and technical topics.     
Responsibilities:     
  • Strategic Narrative, Messaging and Positioning
    Craft and optimize positioning and messaging (including market, company, platform, product, and competitive positioning) for your line of business to equip sales teams to close deals, support successful product launches, and deploy through all market-facing communication touchpoints (website, sales messages, SDR, content, etc.)

  • Deep Product Expertise
    Foster a meaningful relationship with Product leadership; maintain a deep understanding of our current product and product plans; lead the creation, design, and enablement of product demos; and ensure that all PMM work is guided with intimate knowledge of our products.

  • Market Intelligence
    • Be the expert on our buyers, who they are, how they buy and their key buying criteria.
    • Understand and document our buyer’s process, including where they get information, and the who, what, when and why behind the decisions they make. Then lead changes to our sales and marketing processes based on what you learn.

  • Sales & Customer Success Enablement
    Equip our sales teams to win more deals with messaging, sales strategies and plays, materials, tools, and market knowledge, with the aim of increasing close rates, competitive win rates, decreasing sales cycle length, and increasing ACV.

  • Content Strategy
    Work with our Corporate Communications and Content teams to craft a content strategy that addresses each part of the buyer’s journey, online and offline, from awareness to decision.

  • Thought Leadership
    Build event presentations, write compelling articles, and brief decision-makers, to solidify our position as the thought leader and the undisputed Revenue Intelligence leader.

  • Partner Ecosystem and Integrations
    Work with corporate development to determine opportunities and joint GTM plans for strategic technology partners.

  • Partner Enablement
    Ensure our partners and channels are equipped with the materials, training, and support they need to succeed in selling.

  • Competitive Landscape
    Gather, analyze, and respond to competitive intelligence, including win/loss analysis, in a timely manner that keeps our customer-facing teams confident and educated on how to articulate how Absolute is better and why we’re winning; deeply understand the competitive landscape—be an expert on our competition and how they are positioned.

  • Collaborate with global marketing and campaign teams to translate strategies to develop high-impact marketing campaigns, including in-app communication, channel marketing, social media, email marketing, content marketing, and sales enablement.

  • Track and analyze campaign performance, providing actionable insights and recommendations for optimization.
Qualifications:     
  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in product marketing in the enterprise cybersecurity software industry; SaaS experience preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field. MBA is preferred.
  • Strong understanding of the cybersecurity market landscape, including endpoint security, SSE, and cyber resilience, as well as digital marketing and customer experience at a technology and business level.
  • Proven track record of successfully launching and marketing complex software products.
  • Exceptional strategic thinking and analytical skills, with the ability to translate market insights into actionable business strategies focused on outcomes.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a team to achieve goals that go beyond expectations.
  • Proven success building, developing and leading PMM teams of at least 2 or more.
  • Ideally, experience at a company that has grown ARR from $500M to $1B.
  • Passionate about providing an exceptional customer experience.
  • Creative, resourceful, detail-oriented, and well-organized.
  • A strong team player yet still a self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced, high-growth start-up environment.
  • A self-driven, high-energy leader with excellent cross-functional collaboration skills.
  • Superlative presentation and communication skills, with the ability to create compelling narratives and effectively present ideas.
  • Ability to use insights, data, and statistical analyses to drive marketing decisions and optimize campaigns.
  • Experience working in cross-functional teams and leading multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to influence and collaborate optimally at all levels of the organization.
