Position Summary:
We are currently seeking dedicated and motivated Direct Care Staff to support our Supported Independent Living (SIL) program. In this role, you will assist adults with disabilities in building the skills necessary for increased independence, both in their home environment and within the community. You’ll work 1:1 with individuals, helping them with daily tasks and supporting their involvement in community activities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with budgeting, grocery shopping, home maintenance, medication reminders, and job training.
- Facilitate community outings and activities such as sports, movies, shopping, and walking in the park.
- Transport individuals to appointments and community activities, which may require the use of your personal vehicle.
- Help with cooking, cleaning, and organizing daily routines.
- Develop creative, enjoyable activities for individuals served.
- Foster independence by building skills and helping individuals achieve personal goals.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent (required).
- Valid driver’s license (required).
- Willingness to use a personal vehicle for transportation (required).
- No prior experience necessary – we welcome motivated individuals who take initiative and enjoy building 1:1 relationships!
