Facilities Project Manager

Salary: $60k-65k/year
Schedule: SUN-WEDS 7:30A-5P OR WEDS-SAT 7:30A-5P (based on needs at time of hire)
Participates in on-call rotation to support emergency maintenance operations and critical after-hours facility needs across residential locations.
 
Ability Beyond is seeking a Facilities Project Manager to oversee residential facilities projects, infrastructure improvements, operational initiatives, and contractor coordination across our organization.
This role is perfect for you if you enjoy balancing hands-on operational problem solving with project planning, vendor management, compliance, and overall process improvement. You will help ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and aligned with organizational standards.
 
What You’ll Do 
Project Management & Facilities Operations –
  • Lead facilities projects from planning through execution and closeout.
  • Develop project scopes, timelines, schedules, and resource plans.
  • Coordinate vendors, contractors, internal teams, and operational stakeholders.
  • Monitor project progress, quality, budget, risks, and minimize delays.
Infrastructure & Systems Support –
  • Support facility improvements involving HVAC, electrical, mechanical, and life-safety systems.
  • Evaluate infrastructure needs and recommend operational improvements.
  • Assist with emergency preparedness planning and infrastructure readiness.
  • Review work orders requiring urgent operational attention.
Process Improvement & Compliance –
  • Improve workflows, operational procedures, and departmental documentation.  
  • Support inspections, citations, permits, reporting, and regulatory coordination.  
  • Maintain project records and operational documentation.  
  • Standardize project execution and quality expectations across Facilities Operations.  
Requirements
  • Experience in construction trades, complex operations within facilities, and contractor management.
  • Working experience in HVAC systems, electrical infrastructure and backup systems, mechanical troubleshooting, residential constructions processes.
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent, Technical School Diploma preferred.
  • Exceptional communication, organizational, and multi-tasking skills. Military experience is considered.
