Pay Rate: $18-$19 per hour

Are you a versatile and skilled professional with a passion for keeping facilities running smoothly? At Ability Beyond, a nonprofit organization dedicated to empowering individuals with disabilities, we’re searching for a Facilities Technician to join our team. This critical role ensures our residential and commercial facilities are safe, functional, and welcoming for the individuals we serve and our staff.

What You’ll Do:
  • Perform routine maintenance and emergency repairs across residential facilities.
  • Use a range of trade skills, including carpentry, plumbing, electrical work, painting, HVAC, and roofing.
  • Address facility needs proactively by conducting regular audits and implementing preventive measures.
  • Utilize our CMMS (Salesforce) to track and complete maintenance assignments efficiently.
  • Serve as part of an on-call rotation to respond to after-hours emergencies, coordinating with external vendors as needed.
  • Responsible for the execution of reliability excellence/maintenance program (FIT visits)  
  • Maintain agency-owned vehicles in a professional manner and ensure cleanliness and functionality.
  • Must be able to lift 50LBS and stand for 8 hours. 
  • Uses available maintenance resources including tools in an appropriate manner. Follows Lead Technician’s guidance as required.
What We’re Looking For:
  • High school diploma required; technical school diploma preferred.
  • Certifications in areas like OSHA or NFPA are a plus.
  • At least two years of experience in facilities management or a related field.
  • Proficiency in maintenance trades such as HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and carpentry.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to manage emergencies effectively.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
