Location(s): Groups Homes - Greater Danbury & Bethel
Hours: M-F 8-4 FLEX (Hybrid position - ability to work from home and in the field)
Pay Rate: $ 33.00/hour ($68,640 annually)
Job Summary:
The Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) plays a dynamic, independent role delivering impactful medical nutrition therapy to adult individuals with intellectual and physical disabilities in supportive residential group home and day program settings. This role goes beyond day-to-day care - championing nutrition education, leading engaging in-service trainings, and helping shape meaningful nutrition guidelines that truly make a difference.
Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive nutrition oversight and coordinate care with heart and purpose, ensuring each individual receives thoughtful, person-centered nutrition support.
- Help our individuals thrive by conducting detailed nutrition assessments, designing individualized nutrition interventions, and empowering staff through practical, hands-on training.
- Build strong relationships with a diverse team - from dedicated direct care staff to interdisciplinary professionals and caregivers - all working together to deliver the best nutrition care possible.

Qualifications:
- A full-time RDN – experienced or new to the IDD (Intellectual and Developmental Disability) field of nutrition.
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college and the Dietetic Internship completed successfully.
- Registered Dietitian-Nutritionist license/certification from the CDR and CD-N
- Experience in determining and managing the nutritional needs of persons with disabilities is desirable.
- Adheres to and promotes the ethical standards of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics.
- Ability to work independently and work collaboratively with a team.
- Must also be able to travel to group homes and other locations, as needed (mileage reimbursement is provided).
- Experience working within DDS-certified programs and with developmental disabilities a plus, but if not, we are happy to share our love of IDD nutrition with you.
