AArete is one-of-a-kind when it comes to consulting firm culture.

We’re a global, innovative management and technology consulting firm with offices in the U.S. and India. Our name comes from the Greek word for excellence: “Areté.”  And excellence is exactly what we strive for.

We’re celebrating our fourth year as one of Forbes’ World’s Best Management Consulting Firms – and our success starts with our people. From robust career development planning to competitive life and wellness benefits, AArete’s “Culture of Care” takes a holistic approach to the employee experience.

AAretians (our team members) are leaders at every level. You are encouraged to unlock your full potential by directly contributing to our mission and prioritizing personal development and fulfillment.

The Role

We're looking for a Senior Front End Engineer to own and evolve the DoczyAI platform — an enterprise AI-powered document processing and analysis application built on Next.js. You'll work across two front end codebases (the main user-facing app and collaborate closely with the backend team on a Go-based query orchestration service that drives the document processing pipeline.

You'll be expected to understand the full system well enough to debug across layers — from a broken Zustand store to a misconfigured SQS queue response showing up wrong in the UI

Work You’ll Do

  • Building and maintaining UI features across the main app.
  • Maintaining and extending the service layer (`AUTH Service`, `Document Service`, `Query Service`, `Field Extraction Service`, `Client Service`, etc.)
  • Implementing and debugging authentication flows — AWS Cognito sessions, JWT handling, Azure MSAL SSO
  • Managing state correctly across Zustand stores and keeping them in sync with backend state
  • Collaborating on OpenAI spec changes that affect the front end
  • Writing and maintaining Jest unit tests and Playwright integration tests
  • Supporting multi-environment Docker deployments (dev / UAT / prod)
  • Working within a multi-client, permission-scoped data model
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • 5+ years building production React applications (Next.js strongly preferred)
  • Strong TypeScript
  • Confident with state management patterns; Zustand experience is a plus
  • Experience integrating with REST APIs and understanding OpenAPI specs
  • Familiarity with AWS Cognito or similar identity providers (OAuth2 / OIDC flows)
  • Solid testing habits like Jest, React Testing Library, ideally some E2E experience
  • Docker comfort able to run and debug containerized local environments

Preferred Requirements

  • Experience with enterprise document workflows or data-heavy dashboards
  • Familiarity with PowerBI embedded or similar BI embedding
  • Socket.io or WebSocket real-time UI experience
  • Exposure to MUI and/or Tailwind CSS in the same codebase
  • Experience working against event-driven backends (SQS, Kafka, etc.)
  • Ability to read Go code at a basic level — enough to understand what an endpoint does

Nice to Have:

  • AWS experience beyond Cognito (S3, SQS, Textract)
  • i18n / multi-language support implementation
  • CI/CD pipeline work (Bitbucket Pipelines, GitHub Actions)

Benefits

  • Flexible Paid Time Off of up to 23 days annually, in addition to 10 paid public holidays
  • Hybrid work model with flexible in-office attendance
  • Comprehensive health benefits including medical insurance (Mediclaim), personal accident insurance, and term life insurance
  • Generous paid parental leave program
  • Attractive employee referral bonus scheme
  • Transportation allowance and night shift allowance
  • Employee advance salary loan facility
  • Structured professional certification reimbursement policy to support ongoing learning and development
