The Role
We are seeking a licensed pharmacist to join our healthcare consulting team as a senior solution consultant, focusing on medical drug and pharmacy benefit performance consulting.. In this role, you will leverage your managed care pharmacy and analytics experience to identify drug trends and savings opportunities and deliver actionable, client-ready recommendations. Work You’ll Do
- Work in a matrix management environment as a member of the pharmacy team, supporting multiple projects and actively participating in client-facing meetings
- Lead the development and identification of opportunities to reduce payer drug costs, partnering closely with internal teams to implement recommendations
- Utilize analytics to uncover trends across pharmacy and medical drug spend, applying your knowledge of drug pricing and reimbursement methodologies (AWP, WAC, NADAC, MAC, CMS ASP), formulary strategy, and utilization management programs
- Support the advancement of automation and improved workflows in pharmacy analytics, reporting, and operational processes
- Stay up to date on regulatory changes, drug pricing updates, compendia changes, and market trends that impact pharmacy benefit strategy and clinical programs.
- Prepare client-ready deliverables
- Exercise excellent judgment and communicate clearly and directly with clients and internal partners throughout project execution
- Apply strong critical thinking and analytics skills to identify patterns, inconsistencies, and opportunities within pharmacy and medical claims and develop practical recommendations and strategies for clients.

Requirements
- 6+ years of managed care pharmacy experience in a health plan, PBM, or integrated health system
- 4+ years of experience in the healthcare industry, specifically on the payer side
- 2+ years of people management experience, with proven ability to lead and work closely with teams while also managing day-to-day responsibilities
- Licensed Pharmacist
- Demonstrated experience in pharmacy benefit management inclusive of benefit design, formulary strategy, utilization management programs, clinical programs PBM contracting, and analytics and reporting
- Track record in pharmacy and medical drug utilization analysis, cost containment, or value-based pharmacy strategy
- Experience leading a team or managing projects with measurable outcomes
- Strong professional communication skills, including written, verbal, interpersonal, and in-person presentation expertise
- Experience coaching and mentoring team members
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data analysis and insights development
- Strong analytical, data interpretation, and problem-solving skills
- Direct client interaction, including possible travel to client location
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship
Preferred Requirements
- Experience working in a consulting environment with direct client engagement
- Experience with healthcare payer or PBM strategic decision-making
- Experience analyzing drug pricing benchmarks, compendia, and pharmacy reimbursement policy frameworks
- Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams including actuarial, clinical, finance, or operations
- Familiarity with data visualization tools or automated analytics workflows
- Demonstrated ability to translate complex analytical findings into compelling, client-ready deliverables and strategic recommendations
- Prior experience in projects involving regulatory change interpretation or market trend analysis
- Remote work with flexibility to work from our Chicago office as needed

The estimated base salary range for this position is $130,000 - $165,000. In addition to this base salary, individuals may be eligible for an annual discretionary bonus. This range is a part of a competitive, total compensation package together with our majority employer-paid benefits and incentive pay for eligible roles. Please note that this range is a guideline and individual total compensation may vary due to numerous factors including but not limited to experience level, certifications, and other relevant business considerations.
