Description


22squared is currently looking for a Media Director who will be accountable for media strategy – by building and maintaining strong relationships with media owners and ensuring that the media plans are delivering against the campaign objectives of our clients. As a leader of the media planning team on assigned clients and campaigns, this individual will be responsible for managing overall budgets across channels. The Media Director will help drive the evolution of internal practices and approaches by being an advocate of innovative technologies and implementing best practices. As an important member of the agency’s media group, this individual will partner with director of media buying, and director of digital investment, technology and analytics.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Oversee day to day departmental operations and execution of strategic vision across consumer touchpoints
  • Translate client business objectives into defined and measurable marketing and media objectives, supported with tactical implementation recos
    • Craft holistic audience approach and data strategy for Corporate Communications 
    • Provide thought leadership for framework for Audience-based enterprise model and emerging Shopper Marketing opportunity
  • Leverage analytical insights and data to enhance campaign executions, and optimize channel and content opportunities (MMM, MTA, Brand Lift/Tracking, Reach & Frequency, Viewability, etc.)
  • Define strategic approach cross channel for 1st & 3rd party data utilization across campaign buckets and at the enterprise level
  • Provide strategic guidance and data insights for authentic customer experiences built upon co-authored customer journeys 
  • Guide internal and external discussions around media and technology evolution, and solicit new industry concepts and tools that will help grow and enhance client’s business
  • Pursue an understanding of the evolving martech landscape to enhance strategic planning based on new opportunities
  • Anticipate & address client challenges and opportunities, serving as primary contact for media related discussions
  • Collaborate across departments (Account, Analytics, Media Buying, Digital Investment, Content Strategy, etc.) to continually improve upon both efficiency and effectiveness of spend and resources
  • Surface creative inspiration, learnings, and best practices, identifying broad content/creative opportunities
  • Inspire team as a servant leader always advocating innovative ways to solve problems, and encouraging a culture that fosters growth, accountability, and innovation
  • Stimulate team productivity and growth by allocation of assignments which work to make productive and effective use of each person’s skills, as well as motivating their interests and challenging their minds
  • Manage and motivate the individual teams that  support key pillars of the business , maintaining a holistic and unified approach to the marketplace, while addressing nuanced needs for various client stakeholders

 

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 10+ years of media planning experience in an agency setting; integrated agency a plus
  • Extensive client contact experience
  • Possess knowledge of offline media, digital media, and CRM 
  • Experience with Digital Media tactics (Display, Video & Audio Streaming, Social)
  • Experience with Google, Facebook Business Manager, Pinterest, Twitter, various DSPs
  • Strong interpersonal skills, highly collaborative working style
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and provide thought leadership and strategy
  • Highly organized, exceptionally detail-oriented and accountable for results
  • Ability to identify internal and external growth opportunities 
  • Proven management and leadership skills and experience managing a team of supervisors, planners and assistants
  • Experience managing outside vendors and platform partners
