The EHR Trainer (Remote) is responsible for providing Electronic Health Record (EHR)/Practice Management training support to clinical providers and non-clinical staff to ensure optimal use of the system.
The Responsibilities
  • Responsible for end user training, implementation support, and adoption of EHR across CP’s core business and acquisitions
  • Determine appropriate course framework, provide onsite and virtual assistance
  • Monitor learning progress and provide additional reinforcement leading up to, during and post launch
  • Collaborate with leadership across the organization to identify targeted training needs for various departments and job functions
  • Develop training materials, including instructional guides/procedural manuals, job aids, reference tools, multimedia visual aids and all other educational materials, including web-based learning
  • Work with subject matter experts to ensure materials are accurate, complete, and promote standardization across the organization
  • Develop and/or identify appropriate e-learning modules and assign by end user role and provide training reinforcement where needed
  • Create training schedules and conduct initial and ongoing training for various end user role
  • Stay current on system changes and update training sessions and materials as needed
  • Work with leadership to develop EHR training key performance indicators; make recommendations for training based on identified trends and training opportunities
  • Create a system and schedule for continual feedback and updating of the EHR training program
  • Responsible for the creation/design of operational workflows in EHR
  • Work with IT team on addressing EHR support tickets
  • Support the learning and development team with organizational training initiatives, not limited to EHR
The Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent from a four-year college or technical school, at least 4 years related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Minimum two years’ experience in physician practice setting
  • Working knowledge of EHR systems (preferably AMD & NextGen) with ability to learn new systems quickly
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office products
  • Experience with content creation and video editing
  • Possess excellent time management and organizational skills; is a self-starter
  • Consistently demonstrate tact, discretion and good judgment
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to motivate and encourage staff participation during training sessions, small and large, virtual and onsite
  • Able to cope with pressure resulting from meeting required deadlines and reporting requirements and training responsibilities
  • Able to work effectively without direct supervision
  • Ability to travel to multiple office locations, up to 80% of time
Desired Qualifications
  • Experience using a Learning Management System, including authoring tools
  • Certified applications or certified EHR trainer preferred
