Position: Technical Trainer

Location: Chandigarh/ Bangalore, India

The Trainer will report to the Manager of Customer Care Operations.

Overview:

The Customer Care Technical Trainer will be responsible for providing training to the Customer Care team through various technical training programs and ad-hoc training. The Trainer will also work closely with the Zscaler training team on leveraging their existing content and providing requirements for future content.

Responsibilities:

  • Become a Zscaler cloud services expert through self-study, company training, and a desire to excel and become an expert
  • Establish and effectively manage systematic training programs weekly, Monthly, Quarterly on product and processes.
  • Deliver training to the Customer Care teams
  • Create training content specific to the Customer Care Team
  • Support the teams on the production floor
  • Other duties or projects, as assigned
  • Limited travel – Travel to Poland to train remote teams, train all India teams. Travel to HQ to work with Training teams
  • Hours – Weekday shift work, shift may vary, possible on-call

Requirements:

  • Very strong verbal and written communication skills (English)
  • Should be good with creating and delivering Powerpoint presentations
  • Hands-on experience in delivering Training creating the training content
  • Minimum 3 years experience working as Support Engineer/ Sr. Support Engineer supporting Networking or Web Security products

Required Knowledge and Experience

  • Bachelor of Science in Computer Science/Engineering or equivalent advanced industry certifications
  • Networking Experience - VPN technologies such as IPSec and VPN clients
  • Network Security (SSL/TLS, VPNs, Firewall, IDS/IPS)
  • Authentication systems such as LDAP, MS AD, Kerberos, SAML, etc
  • Knowledge of protocols such as HTTP, SSL, SMTP, FTP, DNS, GRE, IPsec
  • Knowledge of how forward and reverse proxies work
  • Working knowledge of networking and security products and enterprise network infrastructure
  • Experience with operating systems such as Windows, Linux, Unix and Free BSD
  • Network troubleshooting experience - Familiarity with tools such as Ping, Traceroute, MTR trace
  • Protocol Analyzers such as tcpdump, Wireshark
  • Working knowledge of Apache and IIS Web Server administration
  • Scripting knowledge (SHELL, Python, Perl) – not required, a plus
  • Zscaler Experience is a plus
