Description

Zeta Global is seeking a Sr. Database Solution Manager to specialize in managing CRM marketing technical initiatives, providing overall operational leadership to key client accounts. The candidate will work closely with Client Services, Technical Operations, and Engineering teams (among others) on both the internal and client side to effectively manage the design and delivery of database enhancements while ensuring quality standards of the data driven technical solution. 

Essential Functions:

  • Act as the single point of integration on technical initiatives, providing technical guidance and leadership to both the internal delivery teams and the client’s technical customer intelligence teams, creating opportunities for system development and expansion.
  • Regularly meets with the client stakeholders, embedding themselves onsite to provide thought leadership on future initiatives and opportunities, define requirements, and communicate project status.  Act as a member/extension of the client’s team.  Be willing to work on premise at the client’s offices as requested/required by the client.
  • Lead fact-gathering sessions to capture current and future state processes as well as identify and mitigate areas of risk.  
  • Ability to evaluate and estimate the level of effort on new technical project requests requirements, and provide recommendations that drive processes and program improvements across functional teams.
  • Ensures team adherence to approved delivery methodologies (by function) to minimize project risks.
  • Provide high-level change management (internal/external) utilizing pre-emptive issue and risk management skills to minimize unnecessary escalations.  Drive project issue resolution to ensure timely and successful project launches.
  • Responsible for project management core practices for larger, more complex initiatives: change request, issue logs, risk mitigation plans, escalation management, decision tracking, etc.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • CRM Database Management in the Retail Industry is a must
  • 8+ years of experience in:
    • Retail Database Marketing space/environment
    • ORACLE Database
    • Client facing engagements
  • Experience /understanding of back end data management procedures (ETL, Relational Data models, CDI processes, etc.)
  • Good knowledge of address standardization and hygiene
  • Operations and technical project delivery experience with a database agency or technology company.
  • Strong communication skills. Must have the ability to grasp complex issues and translate them into easily understandable terms.
  • Strong initiative and the ability to simultaneously manage multiple projects throughout various stages of the project life-cycle.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills focused on the ability to educate, coordinate and lead interdisciplinary teams through projects of short and long durations.
  • Ability to interface effectively with team members from all functional disciplines as well as senior management without always relying on hardline project management tools.
  • Ability to operate and be proactive in a fast paced, rapidly changing environment.
