Description

Zeta Global is seeking a Data Management and Quality Assurance Analyst who will support the ongoing maintenance, health, and accuracy of the client’s Global Customer Database and associated data marts. This role will reside within the Technical Services Solution Management team supporting the data development lifecycle, including data profiling, ETL, development, testing, and support.  The ideal candidate is a data-driven self-starter, team oriented, and a great communicator, with the skills necessary to ensure successful growth and support of the client systems they support.


Essential Functions:

  • Works with internal Technical Project managers, Business Systems analysts, and Technical Account Managers, as well as external client contacts to ensure that new solutions being developed and ongoing data management processes are accurate and meet the intended needs.
  • May be assigned to 1-3 enterprise CRM Retail Industry clients, and will be responsible for the ongoing health and data quality assurance of those client systems.
  • Ability to perform a foundational assessment of the client’s data and data management processes.
  • Develop an audit process to identify anomalies in incoming data or ETL processes.
  • Create specifications and recommended refinement of daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual database health reporting across multiple platforms and criteria. Monitor these reports to ensure data quality, and alert internal and client teams of any issues or areas of opportunity to adjust established business rules that may be outdated or subject to regression testing.
  • Perform root cause analyses when needed to identify defects in data quality and provide recommendations to correct those issues.
  • Ability to perform complex data queries to extract and analyze information from multiple sources.
  • For new products or enhancements to existing products, assist Business Systems Analyst with requirements gathering, and create comprehensive test scripts, and perform testing to ensure requirements and Client Use Cases are met. 
  • Work closely with the data warehouse team to thoroughly test ETL code changes and ensure data quality.
  • Ability to communicate timely and effectively with the client and internal teams.

 

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of experience in quality assurance, data testing, database management processes and testing methodologies. 
  • 5+ years of hands on experience in ETL End to End Automated Testing and Data Validation
  • Excellent communication skills. Ability to interact independently with clients for research.
  • Experience with SQL databases such as MySQL, Postgres, MSSQL, Oracle Preferred; includes advanced knowledge of SQL query language, stored procedures, and stored functions
  • Solid understanding of database, data mart, and data warehouse architecture, designs and modeling.
  • Strong knowledge of ETL concepts and Data Load Strategies with a critical understanding and proven ability to interpret business rules and trace raw source data, through to an end state entity.
  • Troubleshooting - Strong problem solving skills and high attention to detail. Able to quickly isolate errors and present logical solutions.
  • Able to work in a fast paced environment under time constraints.
