Strategy & Analytics Intern (Summer)

Description

We are looking for an intern to actively support and learn about marketing analytics and strategy roles in a modern agency. You will play an active role in the team, working collaboratively on projects including; audience and marketing analytics, strategic program analysis and audience campaign strategy.

In this role you’ll learn the basics of audience and marketing analytics by getting hands-on with research, analysis and driving customer and program insights with the team. You’ll learn about delivering customer focused omni-channel marketing solutions that balance data-driven lifecycle and activation marketing across a full mix of digital and traditional channels

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the S&A team to design cross-channel programs to meet client goal
  • Provide analysis and recommendations on digital test programs and initiatives
  • Research ideas on partners and innovations in digital tools suitable for clients
  • Collaboration with account management teams to provide reporting and feedback on client initiatives

Requirements:

  • Actively pursuing BA, BS or MS in Communications, Marketing or Math or related field
  • Excellent communication and problem solving skills with high attention to detail
  • Analytical skills and an interest in tackling business problems
  • Interest in technology and digital marketing and analytics tools
  • Highly motivated and self-directed with strong time management skills

Skills:

  1. Hard Skills
    1. Database: SQL, Python, Access or similar database and lookup tools
    2. Excel: basics with modeling and analysis tools
  2. Soft Skills
    1. Brand or messaging strategy
    2. Customer insights and psychology
    3. User Experience and Campaign/Experience Design

Experience:

  • Comfortable using marketing analytics software (Google Analytics, Adobe Omniture, etc.)
  • Proficient in MS excel and Google docs.
  • Some experience using marketing automation software (Hubspot, Marketo, etc.) preferred.
  • Experience using Tableau, nice to have.
  • Experience in web development and API’s, nice to have.
