Role Summary

Zeta’s Finance team is comprised of 30 individuals who support all financial functions at Zeta.   The functions include Financial Planning & Analysis and Accounting (Controllership), Tax, M&A, and Transformation.  The VP of FP&A and Transformation is looking to hire a Finance Director (Total Company) in the NYC Headquarters to support financial reporting and analysis for Zeta.  The FP&A Director will be responsible for consolidation of annual budgets, forecasts, monthly estimates and variance analysis for the CRM, ZX, and Actions BUs estimated at ~$300MM in annual revenues. The FP&A Director will run the monthly reporting calendar and create the monthly financial reporting package that is presented to the Board and the Management Team.  This role will be responsible for incentive compensation planning & accounting, the equity accounting system, and SG&A analysis and cost savings initiatives for the Company.  This role will have three direct reports. 

Essential Responsibilities

  • Create the annual budget for the business, including Corporate functions
  • Manage the monthly estimate/forecast process and perform variance analysis to actuals, risks & opportunities
  • Manage the monthly reporting package that is presented to the Board and Management team, including Headcount, T&E, SG&A, Cost savings, overall financial performance and SaaS metrics for company
  • Develop business unit KPIs to measure profitability, margins analytics, customer retention, cost savings opportunities and overall SaaS metrics
  • Develop metrics that will drive overall compensation planning and incentive compensation plan development
  • Manage the monthly and quarterly incentive compensation and bonus payment processes, including assessment of a platform deployment to manage
  • Participate in M&A due diligence, investor reporting and ad hoc analysis as needed
  • Implement BI or FP&A planning tool for FY 2018 deployment (i.e., Tableau, Anaplan, Adaptive Insights)
  • Manage and develop a team of three analysts (2 – NYC, 1 India) and drive team’s success


Desired Characteristics

  • Bachelors or Master’s degree in Finance or Accounting
  • 8-10+ years of financial analysis experience, preferably with public company experience
  • Advanced proficiency in MS-Office suite, specifically Excel, Word and Powerpoint
  • Strong financial modeling experience
  • Experience with ERP systems (MS-GP, Oracle, SAP, Netsuite) & reporting platforms (Anaplan, Adaptive Insights)
  • Proven ability to work across all levels of the organization, with strong executive communication skills
  • Ability to work under tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, supported by data and detail
  • Flexible and adaptable to change (i.e., Can do attitude / self-starter / works well with others)
  • Management of team in the past is critical
