The recruiting team was strolling through the park, sipping on lemonade and we started to think about how we WOW our customers (aka: our candidates)… How we respond, how long it takes, how we listen, how we engage, and are we delivering on our commitment to a great candidate experience? Ok, so actually we were in a conference room, and while we do enjoy a tart glass of freshly squeezed lemonade, what we enjoy most is delivering a bit of WOW!
Ready to step up our game and deliver an industry-leading candidate experience, we’re pledging to WOW in less than 3 business days. We’re calling it our 3 DAY PLEDGE. What?!? Yes, you heard us right… 3 business days or less. We know we owe it to our candidates to do an even better job than ever before and come through on our commitment to Core Value #1 – Deliver Wow through Service.
So what’s the pledge all about? The recruiting team is pledging to get back to candidates within 3 business days of a resume submission, within 3 business days after a phone interview, or within 3 business days after an onsite interview. No more resume black hole or sleepless nights waiting to hear how the interview went. We’re pledging to do better, to aim higher and to set the bar for how recruiting teams follow up with their candidates.
How can I stand out from the pack and stay
front-and-center in the Zappos Recruiters’ minds?
There are a number of ways to stay in touch, help us get to know you and get to know us better too.
- If you haven’t already done so, be sure to create a video cover letter (or some other creative way to show us your true colors, your real personality and who you are as an individual). When company culture is as much of a priority as it is for Zappos, these pieces of the equation are so important and you will definitely stand out if you give us a chance to know you beyond the written words on your resume. - Keep your Insider profile up to date so we can accurately match you to open roles. You can also keep your eye on our job postings in case there is a role that might strike your fancy.
