Support of functional departments such as Purchasing, Materials, Transportation, Engineering, Supplier Base, Quality, etc. to provide technical assistance on all packaging related issues
Support of plant Engineers to provide technical assistance
Implement and maintain best in class industry practices and processes
Establish and maintain guidelines and functional specifications
Provide supplier education to both internal and external suppliers/customers as required
Create and maintain departmental packaging information systems
Communicate and maintain procedures for packaging analysis, justification and implementation utilizing “Total Cost” concepts
Develop, monitor, and adjust BP budgets as required
Lead and facilitate cross functional teams when needed dealing with packaging
Coordinate for line-side storage and ergonomic considerations
Bachelor of Science in Packaging, Mechanical or Industrial Engineering
2-4 years of automotive industry packaging and/or logistic experience preferred
Support of functional departments such as Materials, Transportation, Supply Base to provide technical and practical assistance on all packaging related issues which includes implementation of new/revised packaging, Quality.
